How do you get over writers block? Tips and tricks are appreciated.
I'm currently sitting in my living room wondering why I haven't met my writing goals. With a major website launch, extremely active Facebook communities, and a ministry to grow- I wonder sometimes if I'm really up for writing full time.
It takes an incredible amount of work to actually write for 6-8 hours a day, every day. To try to capture my life, my struggles, and my experiences in a way that touches people and reaches the people God would have me to reach seems like an overwhelming and sometimes unrealistic goal. All the groundwork is done. I could design my website into the ground and still-- I need to write. It can't be avoided.
Whatever it takes, I need to reach a goal of writing 3-5 posts every day. It doesn't have to take forever. On average it may take me an hour to write a 400+ word post. With the type of time I have, writing 3 posts a day should not be an issue. It's time to stop playing and start writing like my life, my ministry, and my happiness depend on it.
